MyPhoneTracker v0.9.5 - GoogleMaps3 and Timestamps

MyPhoneTracker is now using the Google Maps API v3 so you can use StreetView or the 45° aerial imagery together with a much better looking interface.
Single markers now show you the timestamp of the location capture.

Soon v1.0...

While cool, I almost never use GPS. <<...>>..^_^

Those data is not determined through gps, its determined through cell tower triangulation so disabling gps wont help one bit.

Question about Iphones. Do they store the maps you load on the cellphone so I can use GPS and see where I am without needing connection to load the maps? I know safari always reloads from scratch even if you're disconnected which results with unloadable pages

very cool! this reminds me of that chart that said that 10% of the people uses google maps to find directions and 90% of the people use it to see their homes from above.

The system is great, but it doesn't show you the exact location of your phone - it has a radius of 1km from the nearest tower and you could be somewhere near.

@M.D. Flodström
depends on the app, there are a lot of online gps maps available,
up to full blown car naviation systems
the navigon app i use is 1.6gb and has full maps of germany, austria and switzerland
tl;dr
yes

I use my 1st Gen iPod touch for navigation, it gets the job done. Wish I had an iPhone, though!

That looks so cool and interesting! It would be a definite download for me if I would have had an Iphone. Interface looks very neat too, keep up the good work.

Hmmm I wonder what you could do with this. I'm envisioning,people going on trips and taking pictures from the exact spot someone else has been and compiling them to see a change over time type deal. This makes it easy also I dont has an Apple anything lol
