Feel nostalgic, wanna finally beat this 20 year old game you never finished as a kid? Or just curious how games looked back in the golden age of gaming?
Then you need Boxer!
There’s no clots of configuration and baffling DOS commands between you and your fun: just drag-drop your games onto Boxer, and you’ll be playing in minutes.
Boxer takes your CDs, floppies and bootleg game copies and wraps them intoapp-style gameboxes you just click to play. They’re self-contained so you can back them up or share them with friends. No mess, no fuss.
If your nostalgia demands more, thendecorate your games with gorgeous icons and admire your collection from your very own Finder games shelf.
Boxer is powered by DOSBox’s robust DOS emulation, which means it’ll play almost any DOS game you throw at it.

on a mac? damn... I was hoping for windows.
Macheads gaming XD
Need something like this for windows. DOSBox sucks at most games.
THIS GAME. No way. I have to get it now. Right now.
Time for awesome dos throwbacks! Thanks for this post!!
Hey, I've seen that your last comment on my blogs were saying you don't understand spanish, I think you should check the english blog http://araitascave.blogspot.com/ ^^
Also, I didn't know you could run DOS stuff on a mac! D:
good to know
Why should you even play games on a mac?
Leestander:
Starcraft II in 2560x1440 on my 27'' iMac is just awesome, so why shouldn't i play games?
@Leestander: Why wouldn't you? Some of us feel that a macbook is far superior to other laptops on the market, and might not have much use for stationary computers (I say that because I'm not very fond of stationary macs) and thusly have no other choice.
Some might need one for their jobs due to certain applications.
Sure it might not match the performance of windows-based systems on high-end games, with directx and all. But these are DOS games we're talking about. The time when people were talking about RAM in the MEGABYTES and graphics-cards were optional.
And I do by no means bash Windows, my stationary runs it. But it's just a stupid question.
what dos on a mac? ;O
*doubletake*
Is this just a frontend for dosbox on mac? Looks cool either way. Somewhat similar to D-fend reloaded on windows.
is it like mike tysons punchout for NES? that was a hell of a game.
Heaha, PC Nostalgia time for Mac users?:P

Cosmos Cosmic Adventure is probably my most favorite DOS game.
i dont remember this game
Early PC games were a bit before my time :(
Oh man i remember playing this game. thanks
Cool. This is something I'd grab in a heart beat if I had a Mac.
I love the idea of game emulators, but I have never played an old game on one. Maybe I just need to invest in USB Genesis and NES controllers or something. ;)
awww amazing tool. sadly its always like "oh yeah i want to play this so badly" and then like "oh i had better memories of this.. this actualyl makes no fun anymore" i think i lost the magic with these old games
