Put your files into your Dropbox folder on one computer, and they'll automatically appear on any of your other computers that also have Dropbox installed (Windows, Mac, and Linux too!). You can even download Dropbox apps for your smartphone or mobile device (iPhone, iPad, Android, and Blackberry). Everything in your Dropbox is available from the Dropbox website, too.
You get 2gb storage for free and it works absolutely transparent in your os of choice so you just use finder,explorer,command line or whatever to manage your files and dropbox does it's magic in the background.
Its also a great online backup and revisioning system.
Oh and did i mentioned it allows you to share files with friends and family?
It's an really awesome app which i use daily for work and private stuff (syncing between work pc,macbook and iMac) and i can greatly recommend it.

I love dropbox, I've been using it since almost the beginning. It had great applications, like no longer having to carry a USB drive everywhere... I still do for mobile Linux and Tor, but my files are safely secured somewhere else.

Dropbox is very convenient. I wish I could get a bit more free storage space though.
love my dropbox, keeps my mac files sync'd with my pc when needed. i also don't need to carry a usb stick around with me everywhere that i go.
I've used Dropbox before, and it's really handy.
It's saved me a couple times when I lost my flash drive I normally use to transfer stuff

I have some clients who are using this, and they swear by it. I have never had to troubleshoot it myself, which goes to show that it's probably a decent program and one worthy to check out.
Ugh I don't trust dropbox, I remember a similar program where you could see the files of EVERYONE that's ever uploaded files into their service through a hidden link. You could read texts, school essays, and much, much more personal stuff like photos, bills and receipts.
I love dropbox, although I can agree with A that there isn't much privacy if someone gets a handle on your link, I find it convenient for public files I'm constantly sharing with other people.
